ABOUT ME

Growing up, I loved to draw, but my life would change forever in 2001, at the age of 13, after a friend introduced me to digital art and animation, via Macromedia Flash MX. From that moment on, I was hooked.

I would make stickman animations with my mouse and keyboard and upload them to modern-day animation's pioneering websites, like: Newgrounds, SFDT and Stick Suicide.

Before I knew it, YouTube became a thing and all my animator friends were monetizing their content, which opened my eyes up to being an animator as a career. Unfortunately, I wouldn't see any sort of success for years to come.

I was unintentionally teaching myself vector art from messing around in Flash, which ended up proving useful. I was able to learn Adobe Illustrator fairly quick and get a job as a Digital Media Manager at a local promotional company, making virtual proofs, logos and prepping artwork for screen printing and embroidery.

Many years would pass, and depression would slowly creep in, which put a hold on my artwork output. Eventually, I would quit all together because it hurt chasing a dream that I couldn't ever see myself catching.

After a few months hiatus, and some help from friends, I picked myself up by my bootstraps and decided to merge my two biggest hobbies -- animation and video games. I am now back in school, pursuing a degree in Animation in Game Development, to hopefully become a game dev some day!
